We had the good fortune of connecting with Piper Reese and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Piper, what do you want your legacy to be?
My legacy is extremely important to me. I do what I do to make people smile, to fulfill my need to entertain and to put something positive and creative into the world. It is more important to me than anything to become and remain a positive role model for girls. Over the years, we’ve seen countless people rise to the top with negative content that sends a bad message and teaches younger viewers to value fame, money, etc. I think it’s extremely important to stand for the exact opposite. I try to relay to those who watch me the importance of doing what you love and ignoring the concept of ‘fame.’ I want my legacy to not only be something girls can look up to, but something their parents might be okay with them striving towards as well haha! I want to work hard, exude positivism, and stand for a world where we do what we love regardless of how many likes it may get us. 🙂

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of my early start at age 7. I’ve continued to create positive content ever since then. What’s crazy about what we do is, even though the numbers don’t reflect it, it seems that soooo many people have seen or heard of PipersPicksTV. When we bring it up, or when someone else does, it seems to be fairly recognizable for the over 1000 interviews I’ve conducted. It’s amazing to me that what we’ve done has had this huge of an impact. The most amazing thing to me, however, will always be hearing from girls that I’ve inspired! This is the biggest compliment I could get. 🙂 It is hard, it’s always hard work, but messages like those really make it worth it! Our brand is here to stay and here to represent an underwhelming area of the internet and social media: Positivity. With my acting work, I am most proud of my work on From Under The Bridge. I worked very hard to make my character, Clare, realistic and someone people can relate to, but also, true to Megan Meier. Some of my scene work was very scary, but I felt that Connie prepared me well, that Paul pushed me juuust the right amount, and that my dad was very supportive. I am more than looking forward to being able to share this work and story.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I was showing someone around LA, I’d obviously have to take them to Disneyland! As a Floridian I do have to say I prefer Disney World (Sorry, Californians) but I love any Disney and know Disneyland like the back of my hand! We’d definitely have to go to In-n-Out because I even break my semi-vegetarianism for that one! I love the Valenica mall, the Oxnard mall, and the Northridge mall, but I practically was raised in the Sherman Oaks fashion square. I may sorta maybe possibly have a sliiiiight shopping problem…. I’d have to show them Trader Joes because they have the best everything. I feel like late night Target trips are a great thing…or is that just me? haha! Boba is a MUST probably popping boba in a Taro milktea or a Thai milktea! I live on burritos and probably love Sharky’s most! We’d live there for the week!Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my dad (and obviously my amazing and pain in the butt brother and my hardworking, beautiful mother). My dad, Adam Feinsilver, has worked extremely hard since 2007 to become extremely well verse in all things kid’s entertainment. His knowledge of Disney, Nickelodeon, etc has not only created Piper’s Picks TV to be what it is, but has also launched my acting career by helping me to audition for kids networks before moving on to adult roles. My dad also has strong abilities when it comes to networking and the business side of things that may not be my favorite part of what I do haha! I’d like to give another shout out to the person who introduced me to Shoutout LA, Connie Jo Sechrist, who has helped me tremendously in my acting work and has been the best coach and producer to work with ever! She’s extremely talented, beautiful, and all around just awesome! I could write pages about how much Connie has inspired me…but I will end it instead with Connie is an extremely inspirational person to work with and a true queen on any project she’s a part of!
I also want to shout out Paul James for taking a chance on casting me in his upcoming film From Under The Bridge: when bullies become trolls. Paul is a great director to work with and truly amazing at creating the perfect vision for a film in his head. He is also an amazing person with a huge heart!
Next, I want to shout out my Co-stars from From Under the Bridge, Luc Clopton and Sara Wolfkind. Luc’s ability to delve into a dark scene and jump back into his fun-loving self astounds me. His ability to do this really helped me when taking on such a dark role. Sara is extremely professional and extremely focused, Her commitment to her craft is truly admirable. Both Sara and Luc we’re amazing to work with and we will all continue to stay connected. 🙂
